Located in the Hudson River just south of the City of Hudson (on the East side of the River) and the the Village of Athens (on the West side of the River.) The Lighthouse was constructed in 1874 and ceased operation in 1954. Emil Brunner was the last lighthouse keeper, retiring from service on May 30, 1949. The Lighthouse was featured on the cover of The Saturday Evening Post for the issue of December, 1946.
