CHRISTMAS TIME - 1995

Dear Ashley,

I hope you and Theodore Bearington are having a wonderful time in the sixth grade. I miss you very much and because of that I have not gone to school with my mom even once this year. I hope you are still playing the clarinet and flute.

I had a great time on my summer vacation. I learned to play golf a little bit, but the best part was swamps. I really love swamps. In Maine they have fancy names - like salt marshes or bogs, but they're just swamps, wonderful swamps. Mom took me on some motor bike rides to see some swamps and Dad drove us all the way to Campobello Island to see a really big one. It was a huge bog with wooden walkways going through it so I could see all the plants. I think they knew I was coming, so they built these fancy walkways and put some benches along the way. I LOVED IT !!!! You should have been there.... it was beautiful.

I have my own photo album with my special pictures saved so I can always remember everything. Some of the first photos are of you and me. Those were great days. I hope you'll always remember, too. Maybe some day we'll have a visit again. I sure hope so.

Merry Christmas to you and Theodore. I checked THE LIST yesterday and both you and Theodore are on it. Santa will remember you, that's for sure. Be joyous on the holidays.

Love,
